About IceStats

Built by a hockey parent, for hockey families.

IceStats started as a side project to solve one simple problem: not being able to follow your kid's hockey game when you're stuck at work, in another rink, or two states away.

Why we built it

GameSheet, the scorekeeping platform most North American youth leagues use, has the data — every goal, every penalty, every period — but it's locked inside a slow, refresh-heavy website that wasn't designed for parents who just want a text when their kid scores.

IceStats pulls that data the moment it's logged and turns it into the simplest possible alert: a text message to your phone. No app to install. No login wall in front of the live score. Just the play, as it happens.

IceStats is operated as a sole proprietorship by Robert Herbst, based in Massachusetts, USA. There are no investors, no ads, and no plan to sell your phone number. If that changes, we'll tell you here first.

Privacy questions privacy@icestats.app

We typically respond within 1–2 business days. For urgent issues during a live game, the fastest path is to reply STOP to any text we've sent you — that suspends alerts immediately while we look at it.
